Washington's Snow Freakout Commences »

It never ceases to amaze me how utterly unprepared the mid-Atlantic region is when it comes to heavy snowfall. As the snowfall totals rise, IQs drop.

The irony is that great beer and great wine are on the same team. The enemy of beer is not wine and the enemy of wine is not beer, just as the enemy of bread is not fruit and vice versa. But the enemy of good beer and good wine, and good food in general, is bad beer, bad wine and, yes, bad food.

Microsoft shocked SHOCKED! that Family Guy is un-PC

The Family Guy audience probably prefers Macs anyway.

From AdAge:

Turns out Seth MacFarlane isn’t PC enough to be a PC. Microsoft was set to sponsor a prime time special by the “Family Guy” creator as part of its Windows 7 media blitz, but was somehow surprised when the typically MacFarlane-esque fare didn’t exactly “fit with the Windows brand.”

Which begs the question: What IS the Window’s brand anyway? Buggy? Old-school? Plodding? The less-adequate alternative to Macs? THIS is what sticks in people’s heads when they think of Windows:

devastating

Not the best brand-id, but not an entirely false attack. The Family Guy folks shouldn’t sweat this one.

Even Richard Nixon came back in the public eye.

— A fitting comparison, via the Washington Post, in describing Dubya’s return. As a motivational speaker. Seriously.
